The Story ...From the beginning
Dairyman's Daughter to Ranch HER
My story begins long before Boschma Farms. Raised on a dairy farm, I learned the value of hard work alongside my siblings and parents, caring for cattle and embracing agriculture as a way of life.
However, as the challenges facing family farms grew insurmountable, my family’s dairy farm was forced to close—a heartbreaking chapter that ultimately fueled my determination to forge a new path.
What Makes Our Beef Special
In 2016, Jimmy and I founded Boschma Farms, creating a cow-calf operation dedicated to providing bulk beef directly to consumers who value quality and transparency. Our vision was to offer an alternative to a system often dominated by corporate giants, prioritizing integrity and sustainability over shortcuts.
Tragically, in May 2024, Jimmy passed away, leaving me to raise our five children—ages 9 to 1—and continue our dream alone. Despite the heartbreak, my faith in God and determination to carry on the vision have remained steadfast. With our children by my side, I have embraced the challenges of running Boschma Farms, teaching them the value of hard work and the importance of preserving America’s family farms. Together, we are not only running a multiple ag business but also cultivating a legacy—one that honors Jimmy’s memory and reflects our enduring love for the cattle industry and the land.
At Boschma Farms, Cultivating a Legacy is more than a guiding principle—it is a way of life, rooted in faith, family, and a deep love for the land. For me and my five children, this legacy carries the spirit of five generations of farmers, built on resilience, hard work, and unwavering trust in God. Together, we honor the memory of Jimmy—who shared her dream of building something meaningful and enduring.
We are Inspired by the promises of 2 Timothy 2:11-13, with our daily work reflecting a commitment to nurturing life, promoting wellness, and preserving a tradition that sustains both the land and the community.
